I cannot believe the summer is ending and school is starting again. I look back on this past summer and the housing market and just sigh. I am at a loss for words for how bad the market has become and yet simply stunned as to why more Realtors are not using online marketing as part of their standard offering. Think about this: YouTube, Yahoo Video, and Google Video are among the most visited sites on the entire Internet. Would it not be beneficial to have your video virtual tours uploaded to those sites? If that is where most consumers are spending their time, shouldn't that be where you should be showcasing your listings?
I know a lot of people are used to the traditional virtual tours provided by our competitors like Obeo. Did you realize that if you have already had one of those tours done, we can convert those into our video virtual tour? Everything we do is fully customizable. We can create websites with unique domain names, cds for open houses, rider signs, etc. All you need to do is email your contact info to caroline@mediarede.com and I will contact you within 24 hours and discuss your needs.
We are the leaders in this new emerging technology, give us a try today.
Have an outstanding day.

Realtor.Org - National Association of Realtors is talking about video tours
As you can see the President of the National Association of Realtors is now helping to promote video tours. If you click on the link in the article, you will see it goes to a specific page from Mike Antoniack discussing video virtual tours. Guess what company is mentioned... Rede Technologies (which was MediaRede's formal name.) Click here to read that article.
As far as the NAR goes, we have more good news to report. We are one step closer to becoming a Realtor Benefits Partner. We are very excited about the process as well as the end result. We should become a Realtor Benefits Partner by July.

Featured Story In New York Newsday About Video Virtual Tour Podcasts
We were featured in an article: Newsday
Here is a small reprint of what was said:
If you want to create your own movie, Florida-based Rede Technologies (our name before MediaRede, Inc) offers homeowners an affordable and hassle-free option for those who don't mind shooting their own video and photos. For $125, owner-Webmaster Caroline Trude-Rede says her company will produce a two-minute virtual-tour podcast incorporating video and up to 20 photos of your property.
Music and a professionally recorded voiceover are included. The video will get uploaded to YouTube, Google Video and Yahoo! Video and hosted on Rede's Web site, vtrevolution.com (and your own Web site, if you have one). The company will also convert the video to a format that can be viewed and downloaded on any video-enabled portable device or computer.
Remember, we can produce videos for both Real Estate Agents as well as homeowners. THANK YOU to AIMEE FITZPATRICK MARTIN for featuring us in the article.

MediaRede, Inc submitted proposal to NAR
We officially have submitted our proposal to become part of the National Association of Realtors' Benefits Program. We are extraordinarily excited at the possibility of becoming part of this program. We already know that we offer the best video virtual tour podcast services and to even have been invited to submit the proposal was an honor. We are glad the the NAR is starting to realize how important the "video on demand" technology is becoming to the Real Estate Industry.

Rede Technologies LLC becomes MediaRede, Inc
As of today, Rede Technologies LLC becomes MediaRede, Inc. Why the change? Well, simply put, we are growing so fast that we could not remain an LLC. We needed to incorporate and that is exactly what we did. Same company, same excellent service.

New Website Design and Realtor Benefits Program
In case you haven't noticed, we implemented an entirely new design for our website. The interface is very clean and concise. Here is a sample:
As always, please let us know what you think. We have some VERY big things that are about to happen with our company. We are working on affiliation with the National Association of Realtors to become part of their Realtor Benefits Program. Look for that to happen in the next few months. Before that does happen, please take advantage of our March special. We will deduct $10.00 from any order placed in March. Save some money and get ahead of the pack. Once that affiliation happens, your competition will know about us and we won't be the best kept secret in the virtual tour industry anymore.

New Year, New Logo
We have created a new logo for the new year. Sorry for such a delay in updating the site - I have been in Asia for business. 2007 looks to be a even a bigger year than 2006. Since video virtual tour podcasting is just starting to take off in the right direction, we could not be more excited. I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that not only are we the experts in this technology but we are actually the first company to develop it. We started in late 2005 and have had many happy customers. We expect in 2007 to have many more.
Take a look at the new website design, feel free to give any suggestions and don't hesitate to call us when you need a customized podcasting solution for your business.

Simplified Product and Cheaper Price
We have decided to simplify our product and price. We did some market research and our original product was too complicated so here's the deal. You can order a virtual tour and have the choice whether you want voiceover or not.
Virtual Tour with music and NO voiceover $74.99
Virtual Tour with music and PROFESSIONAL voiceover $99.99
The $25.00 difference reflects what we have to pay the voiceover actor to come and record the detailed information about your listing.
This is introductory pricing - the regular pricing will be higher. We can only guarantee this price thru the end of September.
Remember that the price does INCLUDE the upload into Realtor.com which every other company on the planet charges an additional $25.00.
Give us a try today and see what a difference our tour makes.

Ipix goes bankrupt - We can help with those tours
This morning we read an interesting article about the virtual tour company, Ipix - they have gone bankrupt! Well, the fact of the matter is that all those virtual tours that they produced for Real Estate Agents and are currently on Realtor.com - do not work anymore. We at Rede Technologies understand your frustration and want to help you migrate towards a better virtual tour platform - one that is much more stable since ours is based in several MAJOR technologies (Apple & Windows), NOT a proprietary one.
Anyway, we will be glad to help all those Realtors with the virtual tours. (How are you going to sell a home without a WORKING virtual tour). We will announce our solution next Tuesday (Sept 12) both on the blog as well as in a press release. If you are reading this during labor day weekend - if you order a virtual tour from us this weekend - we will give you an extra $25.00 off your virtual tour.
We at Rede Technologies look forward to serving you now and in the future.

Rules to live by..
As I find myself in this crazy situation of a product that is simply not yet selling to the masses, I have been looking for inspiration to keep this product and company afloat. I realize that our blog started out as only a company blog (and usually it will be kept that way) but I want everyone or anyone who is listening/reading to realize that this company is the dream of one person - an entrepreneur named Caroline. I am the one who has this vision of creating a more internet friendly real estate tour to help listing Agents sell homes. I am also the one banging my head against the wall trying to figure out why this product is having such a hard time selling. If you are reading and have any suggestions or see something that I just don't with our product - please email me at caroline@redetechnologies.com - all comments, suggestions, etc would be welcomed. Imagine for a second when you first started out what would happen to you if no one ever told you when they saw a problem with your product or service.. Anyway, I ran across this blog post and wanted to share with everyone:
"The following article (or rules for survival) is included with the permission of Bob Parsons (http://www.bobparsons.com) and is Copyright © 2004-2006 by Bob Parsons. All rights reserved."
1. Get and stay out of your comfort zone. I believe that not much happens of any significance when we're in our comfort zone. I hear people say, "But I'm concerned about security." My response to that is simple: "Security is for cadavers."
2. Never give up. Almost nothing works the first time it's attempted. Just because what you're doing does not seem to be working, doesn't mean it won't work. It just means that it might not work the way you're doing it. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it, and you wouldn't have an opportunity.
3. When you're ready to quit, you're closer than you think. There's an old Chinese saying that I just love, and I believe it is so true. It goes like this: "The temptation to quit will be greatest just before you are about to succeed."
4. With regard to whatever worries you, not only accept the worst thing that could happen, but make it a point to quantify what the worst thing could be. Very seldom will the worst consequence be anywhere near as bad as a cloud of "undefined consequences." My father would tell me early on, when I was struggling and losing my shirt trying to get Parsons Technology going, "Well, Robert, if it doesn't work, they can't eat you."
5. Focus on what you want to have happen. Remember that old saying, "As you think, so shall you be."
6. Take things a day at a time. No matter how difficult your situation is, you can get through it if you don't look too far into the future, and focus on the present moment. You can get through anything one day at a time.
7. Always be moving forward. Never stop investing. Never stop improving. Never stop doing something new. The moment you stop improving your organization, it starts to die. Make it your goal to be better each and every day, in some small way. Remember the Japanese concept of Kaizen. Small daily improvements eventually result in huge advantages.
8. Be quick to decide. Remember what General George S. Patton said: "A good plan violently executed today is far and away better than a perfect plan tomorrow."
9. Measure everything of significance. I swear this is true. Anything that is measured and watched, improves.
10. Anything that is not managed will deteriorate. If you want to uncover problems you don't know about, take a few moments and look closely at the areas you haven't examined for a while. I guarantee you problems will be there.
11. Pay attention to your competitors, but pay more attention to what you're doing. When you look at your competitors, remember that everything looks perfect at a distance. Even the planet Earth, if you get far enough into space, looks like a peaceful place.
12. Never let anybody push you around. In our society, with our laws and even playing field, you have just as much right to what you're doing as anyone else, provided that what you're doing is legal.
13. Never expect life to be fair. Life isn't fair. You make your own breaks. You'll be doing good if the only meaning fair has to you, is something that you pay when you get on a bus (i.e., fare).
14. Solve your own problems. You'll find that by coming up with your own solutions, you'll develop a competitive edge. Masura Ibuka, the co-founder of SONY, said it best: "You never succeed in technology, business, or anything by following the others." There's also an old Asian saying that I remind myself of frequently. It goes like this: "A wise man keeps his own counsel."
15. Don't take yourself too seriously. Lighten up. Often, at least half of what we accomplish is due to luck. None of us are in control as much as we like to think we are.
16. There's always a reason to smile. Find it. After all, you're really lucky just to be alive. Life is short. More and more, I agree with my little brother. He always reminds me: "We're not here for a long time; we're here for a good time."

Post on realblogger.com that I read stating that Virtual Tours need to be more slick!
I just read an article on www.realblogger.com (for those of you that don't know - this is where the "top" Real Estate Professionals blog.)
Here is the trackback: http://www.realblogging.com/utility/tb/?id=183430
The writer sort of knew what he was talking about. I agree that "Buyer expectations have shifted through the years as they become more and more technology-savvy, and as agents, we're missing the mark." (His words - NOT mine). However, this particular blogger goes on to label "obeo" as a slick virtual tour. Coincidentally, he is associated with that company. I am not pointing fingers but when a stitched together boring photo tour is considered slick - there is a problem. The product we offer is video based. It is downloadable, it is emailable and will soon (can't help but spill the beans a little on this one - have a MAJOR mapping technology integrated with it)! Yet, this other company is considered slick? By who's standards - certainly not the internet consumer! I believe it must be by the Real Estate professional who has his events sponsered by that virtual tour company. All I am trying to say - is be careful who gives you product advice - just because your company, Broker or a trusted Real Estate Professional utilizes a product - doesn't mean it is the best - it usually just means that they have a back door affilliation with that particular provider. THINK for yourself! Set yourself apart - Be the Independent contractor that you are!

Name Change
Podcastmyproperty.com is going to have a name change. We are changing the domain name to www.vtrevolution.com Please bookmark the new URL. You may wonder why the name change? Well, we had many company discussions about why are Real Estate Agents not purchasing our product? The product is very unique and light years ahead of the competition. What did we figure out? Well, the word podcast confused a lot of people. Our product was associated only with iPods and not with virtual tours. Hence, the name change. Why vtrevolution? Simple, we like to think of our product as revolutionializing the virtual tour industry. Same great product, better URL.

Moto Q - Another Device to display our tours
Recently, Motorola unveiled it's rival to the Blackberry named the Moto Q. Powered by Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 and using Verizon's high-speed EVDO network, the Q is described by Motorola as a "mini-notebook" for home and office. "The Moto brings together all the converged solutions you need to work, stay in touch or have fun," Ed Zander, Motorola CEO said in a statement.
"Enterprise technology, consumer electronics and mobile are converging to create major productivity advantages for the work world," Denny Strigi, Verizon president and CEO, said in a statement.
We at Rede Tech offer our virtual tours in a Windows Media Format which is compatible for this device. We are the ONLY company who utilizes this format and are the ONLY company who produces content for this as well as many other devices.
Stop wasting your money on other virtual tour solutions. We are the most technologically advanced solution available and match the price point of our competitors.... Click here to go to our website

Google Launches Video Ads on their network
This is a VERY important stepping stone and should tell you where advertising is going... Similar to google's new feature - we at Rede Technologies provide video ads for homes!!!! Here is the google announcement:
Click-to-play video ads for AdWords
We're very excited to announce the release of click-to-play video ads on the content network. Here's Bismarck, from the Video Ads team, with the details on this new feature:
In the coming days, we will be adding click-to-play video ads to the line-up of text, Flash and image ad formats currently supported by the Google content network. At launch, video ads will be available to AdWords advertisers in the US, Canada and Japan - but we plan to roll them out to other regions shortly.
Now, let's talk about the details.
First, as with all AdWords ad formats, video ads will compete for placement on sites in the Google content network with other text, Flash and image ads -- and, as with our other image ad placements, you can choose to bid on a CPC or CPM basis.
Second, these ads will be supported by both site- and keyword-targeted campaigns. You can choose to serve your video ad on a specific site or on pages in our content network that relate to your product or service. As always, you have the ability to geo-target your video ads internationally, nationally, or locally.
Finally, unlike some intrusive advertising, users will have complete control. When a page loads, only a static image will be visible; the video will not start playing until the user initiates it.
But, you may say, video is only for big branding oriented advertisers. We beg to differ. This feature makes video ads much more accessible to all advertisers. Now, an owner of a small bed & breakfast in Lake Tahoe can put a video tour of his beautiful chalet right next to an article that talks about skiing the epic slopes of Squaw Valley.

If it is good enough for QVC...
QVC, the home shopping network, isn't satisfied with just being on TV 24 hours a day. It wants to be everywhere customers are, and plans to offer shopping videos on Internet portal sites and eventually wants to sell goods on mobile phones.
"We want to be ready. We are going to try a lot of things," said Michael A. George, president and CEO of QVC, in an interview this week. "We're looking to see what resonates with consumers."
QVC, which has seven million active customers domestically and introduces 1,600 products weekly, is set to offer video-on demand content on various portal sites by this summer.
Realtors - We are pleading with you to see that video on demand is the future! Consumers want to see and hear everything about a product (which a home is) before they make a decision. At Rede Technologies, not only have we seen the future but we have delivered it with our virtual tour solutions. Stop sitting by the wayside and letting technology pass you by.....

Press Release
AudioVisual Electronic Flyers Combine With Podcasting to Help Real Estate Agents Stand Out
Virtual Tour Era of spinning rooms is over. New High Tech Virtual Tour Solution is available.
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) April 25, 2006 -- Rede Technologies, LLC today announced it’s all-in-one solution for marketing today’s real estate listings: the Redecast, a combination of video or still pictures coupled with professional voiceover, and it’s companion marketing website, www.podcastmyproperty.com
The Redecast combines a slideshow presentation with voiceover narration describing in detail an available home listing.
“Unlike most virtual tours that are available for real estate agents, our Redecasts are unique in the fact that not only are they narrated by our in-house voiceover actors, but are also completely portable,” said Rede Technologies, LLC CEO Caroline Trude-Rede.
With over seventy-five percent of all homes searches now stemming from the internet, www.podcastmyproperty.com aims to capture the attention of today’s tech-savvy home buyers.
“Today’s average homebuyer barely has enough time to check their e-mail on a daily basis, let alone go the old-fashioned route of spending a full day or two looking at several homes that may or may not meet their criteria. Today’s homebuyer is more likely wanting to be a bigger part of the decision as to which homes they would like to see, rather than leave it all up to their agent. By putting a Redecast on the screen of a potential homebuyer, an agent has a better chance of getting that potential home purchaser to actually purchase that home,” says Trude-Rede.
Utilizing technologies that have recently become available thanks to the podcasting revolution, Rede Technologies, LLC makes their Redecasts available in several video formats to assure that almost any computer in the world can view a Redecast.
By creating a Redecast in Windows Media, Real Media, Quicktime and Flash formats, not only can a Redecast be viewed on a computer, but on portable media devices such as an Apple iPod, a Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP), or even a video-enabled phone.
“It’s true, there are some software packages out there that help agents create slideshow presentations,” says Rede Technologies, LLC President Juan-Carlos Rede. “However, the agent must do all the work themselves to create the presentation. Secondly, unless that real estate agent is a professional voiceover actor, there will probably be no voiceover narration describing the house listed. And thirdly, by using a do-it-yourself software solution, it’s not possible to create their presentation in the four major formats used for quick downloading and portability. We have the edge that agents are looking for.”
“All we need from an agent is no more than they would normally use for marketing: photos or video of the home itself, the Broker-MLS synopsis, and a brief description of the listing. We take it from there and make technically-challenged agents look like cutting edge agents.”
Redecasts are marketed in several online locations including Realtor.com, Google video and the company’s own www.podcastmyproperty.com website. For additional information on Redecasts please visit www.podcastmyproperty.com or call (321) 441-6513.

New Changes on the Site
Another week and we just keep getting better. We are in the process of adding Blogs and RSS to ALL of the regions that we serve. This means each state and certain metro areas are getting their own blog and RSS feed thru our site. This will be a very useful feature for many different reasons incl:
1. Realtors will receive extra exposure for their listings. Every tour that we do will automatically be inserted into the proper blog.
2. Consumers can subscribe to a particular RSS feed and receive information about new listings on a regular basis.
3. Exposure! Exposure! Exposure! All new Featured Realtors will also be featured on the blogs.
At Rede Tech, we are always improving our product and want to be on the cutting edge of this emerging market. Look for all the Blog and RSS feed buttons to be added later this week!

What in the world do we plan to do with this blog?
A lot of things, I hope. First let me introduce myself and let you know that this blog is being currently written by the CEO of Rede Technologies: Caroline Trude-Rede. I am the co-creator of the virtual tour product that we are promoting. I am also the head web designer. I am also a licensed Realtor (in Florida) so I know exactly what Realtors are looking for in products they purchase.
We at Rede Tech have big plans in the hopper. We want to help make the Real Estate market a much more tech savvy environment. With that said, here are some of things we are working on:
1. Wrapping our next generation virtual tours in RSS feeds.
2. Creating environments and blogs for both consumers and Realtors to have more pertinent information.
3. Educating Realtors and Consumers about products which will offer a better way to view Real Estate. (NO more spinning around a single room!)
In this particular blog, we want to feature the usual company announcements, introduce new products, share information about the podcasting/blogging revolution and in general just let everyone know what we have going.
I look forward to this endeavor. Rede Tech plans to revolutionize Real Estate - so stay tuned... you never know what we will come up with next.
